Getting motivated to get fit can be trying for many people. Most are looking for that quick fix to fitness. When someone see a television commercial that shows how fast they can get fit by using this new equipment, it creates a temporary motivation to buy it. And that also means they buy into what the commercial says.
Getting healthy and fit takes effort and work. It’s not going to be some quick fix that is going to get you the results you’re looking for. Getting fit means to get out and workout consistently. It means to eat healthy consistently. And it all starts with how you think and believe about it all.
You see, our minds that the most important factor whether we will challenge our bodies to get up and do the workouts. It creates the motivation. So how do you get motivated to fitness?
You have to go outside yourself and find that greater purpose. And that reason why. Sometimes, you’ll need to create a values shift as well as changing your beliefs. First, let’s start with your purpose. Ask yourself, “Why do I want to get healthy and fit? What is my reasoning?” When you are able to answer those questions, then you will be able to create a focus. Sometimes it will be simply for a wedding or a high school reunion. Though, those are temporary.
If you are a parent, you may want your children to be healthy and fit. Well, they will follow your lead. What you do, they will do. It’s not about what you say, but about what you do that will have the greatest influence. And here’s an additional benefit of being healthy and fit yourself. You will be able to keep up with your children a lot easier and engage in play too.
Whether it’s for your kids or to live a life that full of vitality, getting healthy and fit will do so much for you. People will perceive you as being much more youthful and younger looking than you actually are. You will have that spring to your step as you walk down the street. Your body will show in how you carry yourself.
Getting healthy and fit trumps plastic surgery in looking and staying young. Because it is real. You will slow the aging process.
So, find your purpose and reason why to getting healthy and fit. Let it be your motivation to fitness.
