Today’s topic is about inheritance.  Not the genetic kind or even the epigenetic kind, but the one where families will sometimes wait to see if they’ve inherited a wad of cash, property, their favorite thing and so forth…. This could be from one’s parents, old Uncle Joe, Grandma Irma, or any number of other relatives, friends, etc… It all becomes some sort of civil war… Or should I say, uncivil war… Brother fighting brother… Sister fighting brother… Sister fighting sister… Cousins fighting each other and down the line…

Here’s my take on all of this, it’s fine if the person inheriting it is in good faith and comes from a place of real love for the person whom they inherited the item from… What I’ve seen mostly are the in-fighting among relatives, with each saying I deserve this or that… It is my right to have it… I’ve done so much for Aunt Beth and I thought I’d be in her will… To that I say “No you don’t deserve any of that!”

You see, each person who had it in their life, earned it… Or they were given the task of handing down a family heirloom to the person who would best keep it as such… If all you’re focused are on things, then you don’t deserve one damn cent!  Where the heck is true love and compassion…  On top of that, when you focus on waiting for an inheritance, then you may lose your own sense of purpose… Unchain yourself from that negative focus and move towards a positive goal… And learn to develop self-reliance…

Get out and do what you were meant to do and be in this life… YOU are here for a reason… DO IT!!!
