I don’t know if it’s me or are we seeing more walking mannequins?  They appear to look like stars, in some cases, or even people.  I just feel like I’m surrounded by them.  What I’m referring to are the vasts amounts of people, men and women (and even teens), that are getting plastic surgery and botox treatments.  Their faces have become so expressionless.  All this to get rid of the lines on the forehead.  And it certainly doesn’t make them look younger, just more like some plastic doll.

It all comes down to a person’s self-image.  Dr. Maxwell Maltz, author of ‘Psycho-Cybernetics’, discovered this during his work as a plastic surgeon.  I just wonder what Dr. Maltz would think about today’s world?  I thought that this was a phenomenon of Los Angeles, it’s not.  This is happening everywhere.  So many are putting their self-image into this external, fake look.  For me, a complete turn-off.  I love faces that can fully express.  Including those lines on the forehead.  So real, beautiful and perfect.

Fro those that opt for botox, I would suggest reading Dr. Maltz’s book first.  Learning the difference between a healthy self-image and one that is created via plastic surgery will enable you to move away from the representations of Hollywood and the modeling industry.  Here’s a video interview series as Dr. Maltz describes Psycho-Cybernetics:

I hope that our society stops this obsession on what physical beauty and youth really mean and get into real health, fitness and self-image.  Work on your inside and your fitness.  Look into the mirror and love what you see.  Every single bit of you.  And express yourself fully!

Have an amazing real happy face day!
