“A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” ~Colin Powell
When I was a kid I would look at rainbows and think of where the end of it was. The pot of gold was located there. Or like when I read the Arabian Nights (aka: One Thousand and One Nights) where one of the stories was of Aladdin and his magic lamp. Ah, the power of magic. Many people have been on such a quest of finding magic that would help them have all their dreams.
The problem with searching for magic is that it doesn’t exist out there. There are no three wishes or a magic wand or some fairy dust. If you keep looking for magic, then you’ll go through your whole life seeking those wishes.
The magic you seek is the one produced from where you’re at. It’s in your own hands and your own thoughts. It’s constructed in several parts and when put together, true magic takes place. So what are those parts? Well, it’s really simple.
The Three Parts of True Magic:
- The first part is that of belief. Now you’re wondering, we already know that. Well, do you really know about belief? Because, if you did, then you’d know it’s power. You see, belief can be bad or good. Like any source of magic, it’s how you use it that leads to outcomes in life. Belief is in two parts. Belief in yourself and belief in your dreams. You need both and it has to be powerful. The more passion you have in your belief, the more powerful it becomes.
- The second part is that of action. Nothing happens without action. NOTHING! If you make a decision, then do nothing about it, nothing happens. Only through movement will anything you believe in happen. It takes action to overcome inertia.
- The third part is that of grit. Grit is that which enables one to overcome failure and mistakes. Grit is needed to get past challenges and obstacles. Grit is the ingredient that is instilled in the greatest of heroes. It’s when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Mental toughness is included in grit. The person of grit never gives up and takes continued and consistent action. They look at failures as simply feedback and will make adjustments. Then they give what they learned from their mistakes their best effort, day in and day out.
There you have it. The basis of true magic. The magic of success. You’ve got to have all three and use all three. Nothing else comes close and this has been used for eons by true magicians of success. Are you one of them?
