As I waited in the lobby of the KABC Radio studios in Culver City, I thought about what it was going to be like to finally meet Susan Irby, The Bikini Chef… After a few minutes I was escorted to the Green Room by her co-host Steve Valentine. I waited to be called for the interview and finally got to meet Susan.
In came an attractive blonde with a lot of personality as she introduced herself. I wondered what I got myself into as I remembered listening to some of her past shows. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be serious or funny or both. All I knew was to expect the unexpected. So I did.
I was brought into the studio and showed where I was to sit. They had me dawn the headset and positioned my in front of the studio mic. And then it began. With an introduction and some lively conversation, I was asked by Susan about what I do and if I had any thoughts on New Year’s Resolutions. I did do that as well as discussed hypnosis and fitness. That included a demonstration (my pushups).
All-in-all…The show turned out much better than I expected (where I expected it to be amazing). Susan was very warm and very funny. I think its part of that Southern charm. Her co-host, Steve, is also from the South. We took pictures afterward and talked about meeting each other in San Diego in January. Which we did.
If you happen to be in the Los Angeles area, make sure to tune your radio to AM790 KABC TalkRadio or go to http://www.kabc.com every Saturday at 7-8pm for the Bikini Lifestyle Show.
