Imagine a life where you are soaring above everyone else and have all your needs and wants met.  Wouldn’t that be nice?  The mighty eagle owns the sky and is able to see far and wide.  It can stay aloft and then swoop down once it spots a meal.  Its powerful talons can grab a fish just under the surface of the water and carry it off to be ripped and eaten.  With a wingspan in the neighborhood of 80 inches, its wings can carry the weight of the eagle and its catch very easy.

A squirrel prepares every summer for the upcoming winter months by gathering more than enough nuts for both food and storage.  Its nature is to do that from many generations of learning and instinct.  It never will starve, while hunkered in some burrow or inside a tree.  Other animals, like many predators, may starve to death when there is a lack of food.  Not the squirrel.

The reason I am telling you about both these animals is that our society seems to have settled for the mediocre in life.  And they will spend more than they have, not preparing for downturns or the loss of employment.  Many industries have died during this last recession and many more will do so in the upcoming years.  Those that take the initiative and prepare through developing new skills and ideas will never be out of work.  On top of that, being able to save more than you spend will create wealth.  That is the world of the squirrel.

The eagle’s world is that of becoming more than your thought possible.  Never settle to be less than you can possibly be.  And be more.  Think of yourself as soaring to new heights.  The difference between you and a billionaire is simply a billion dollars.  You are both humans with human emotions.  You may think that you can only do this or that.  The self-made wealthy person believes in the power of his or her dreams and becomes the eagle in that belief and the squirrel in taking necessary action to make it happen.

Believe in yourself and soar like an eagle.  With action make your dream happen and work like a squirrel.
