Recently I met a young gal who performs in local clubs with her band. Her breakout hit, Problem Child, was amazing to hear and so was watching her music video. I can’t believe that this gem has not made it to the international scene. When I hear less talented singers and even performers making it, it kinda perturbs me that Electra Barakos is not a Top 10 singer. She beyond talented!
When I say that she can sing, SHE CAN FREAKING SING! I’m not just talking rock and roll either. Electra is talented as an opera singer as well. She is classically trained and you can hear it in her voice. In a world where many of today’s singers have had their vocals made better through a process known as reverb, Electra shows a true singing voice. Don’t believe me? Electra is also a rare commodity in today’s music world. We hear so much of the attitude of today’s young singers and Electra is one of the warmest and friendliest performers I’ve ever met. Not only that, she told me she stays away from any type drugs. I mean, that must be hard to do in today’s world. She is sure setting the example for young and old alike.

Nothing beats alive performance by Electra and her band. Not is she amazing as a singer, she is on fire as a performer. She recently did her last performance of the year. Next year I see her breaking out big time! For to her website to find out more information on her performances and her CD’s…
She is a fine example of someone that is on a journey in pursuing her dreams. That journey shows me that she is already successful. She has worked hard, is dedicated and passionate.
