Life brings to us many challenges. I’ve stated this many times in past posts. When we’re working towards something and strive to overcome obstacles, they can become overwhelming. When we’re at our emotional worst, we may feel stuck and can’t go any further.

This happens to the best of us. I can certainly attest to that. Simply pushing harder when we are emotionally drained only leads into further despair for most people. Certainly there are those exceptions. Even the world class athletes have gone down the road of being down this way. The thing is, we are all humans and can’t change that. All of us have been stuck at one time or another and all of us were able to get unstuck. Normally, this happened when we were kids. As adults we’ve let fear and other circumstances be our guide and therefore, we get stuck.

I’ve seen this in people that are stuck at a dead-end job or a career they don’t like. They let fear settle in. When this happens, anger may also settle in. They become even more grouchy.

Most people have a hard time changing. They get scared. And they stay stuck. They may feel they have no choice. They may lack self-esteem and self-worth, so they stay stuck. They may have been brought up by certain values and beliefs that lead them to staying stuck. The perfectionist tends to be stuck as well. Change is hard for all of these people. Being stuck may be hard for them too. Changing is harder.

You don’t have to be that way.  You can change and make decisions leading to actions. One of the benefits of taking action towards change is increased confidence.

Now is the time to get past inertia and into creating momentum. Even a small step is important to getting unstuck. You see, taking action means you’re not stuck. Taking action goes beyond making a decision. Though, making a decision is the precursor to action. Belief in yourself is the precursor to making a decision.

The first key to getting unstuck is therefore…

A powerful belief in you and what you want to moves towards to. This includes an unyielding passion (teetering on obsession) towards any dream or goals. If you really want something, you will do what it takes to get it.

The second key to getting unstuck is…

Getting the right help and support. In every endeavor by every successful person, they all had the help of others. This was either directly or indirectly. I don’t know of any so-called self-made millionaire who did it by themselves. World class athletes have a team of helpers via trainers and coaches. If you are stuck, then ask for help.

The third key to getting unstuck is…

Taking any sort of right action. Draw off your belief to help fuel your willpower. Once you start to see what action does for you, you’ll want to keep the momentum going. Action begets action. Action leads to getting you unstuck. Part of right action is focused energy. Make it powerful, like TNT!

Additionally, let go of trying to be perfect and strive for excellence. Give your best effort in your actions. You’re going to change anyway. This is true whether you take action or not. You will change into deterioration or you will change into the best possible you. Choose which one? I choose the latter and you will too to get unstuck! Free yourself NOW!

I wish you success and I believe you will move towards getting unstuck. If you need help, ask for it. Get a coach, if needed.
